Call me Ego.

Human ego is a very very bad thing. For those who are not qualified to manage this thing; this sticky feature shall make them put theirsef in ridiculous states. You see yourself so high that the artificial highness make a fool out of you. I mean not you. Them. He, she, they, we. errr you... On the bright side, it is fun to make fun of those every now and then. Life would have been a boring process if we all were perfect creatures with high intellegence. Right? Not that anyone is perfect. Are we clear? *clears throat and changes subject*...

Friendly Moments by the Bosphorus

Praise record holder of year 2008; Friendly Fires made it to Istanbul the night before. With an absolutely grower self-titled debut and sort of a fusion dance style specying synth-pop added to noisy shoegazing; the band did shake the newbies department; both chart and fan-wise.

Stood out clearly among the rest of line up (The Whip - Gabriella Cilmi (headliner) etc.); it was a pleasure to get to see them in a breezy Bosphorus night. Energetic, fun, pushing... Ed Macfarlane put his autograph into the night in reflect to the satisfied applauds cheering up from the crowd. His super-stylish trousers did help the image building, I gotta say!

Audience throwing "friendly" flowers into the stage and he is throwing them back; every single person at the front row jumping on their feet in the mean time. Don't remember having this much fun at a concert recently. Paris, Jump In The Fool, Skeleton Boy type of hits obviously were embraced by the hot crowd. But nothing changed with the relatively hidden gems in the album. My personal favorite White Diamonds sounded even better live.

They stayed on the stage for about an hour and we humble souls suffered from leg pains afterwards. There was booze to heal. Surely. I mean of course. Danced into the night, all together!

Anywho, all I am saying is go catch them whereever you are.

Rhymes of Goodbye

A summery day, full of sunlight today. On my way to work a nice surpriseful melody came up on shuffle after a long time; making me recall a heart spraining moment I had almost a year ago. It was almost a year back I was obsessively listening to Scott 4 as usual; to me the bestest record the legendary Scott Walker has ever released. This song Rhymes of Goodbye alone is a reason enough to idolize this record all along.

On a rediculously summery day; driving through the once heaven like - now autobahnized high way by the Black Sea coast right back in hometown. Everything getting concretioned putting a shameful grey between the refreshing green and blue. Asphalt setting a block to the wide deep Black Sea and unmanneredly tasteless houses (needless to say that the taste is owned by post-80s ignorance) built by the road in cold colours and unharmonized sizes make a scenery as if they have been embedded to the view as some kind of computer graphic. Like a bad bad joke.

And Scott goes on singing Rhymes of Goodbye. A borrowed sun in a summery day in hometown. Shining over the chaos between mankind and the naive silhouette of nature. As soft as Scott goes, borrowed sun fitting awkward to the normally misty and rainy town. Like wearing your friend's t-shirt because you had dirt on yours and have nothing of yours to wear for the rest of the day. The sun over the summery day looking like a custody at the top of it all.

The day I was leaving the town god knows for the hundredth time. Scott goes Rhymes of Goodbye. And once again I couldn't know if it was the town I was saying goodbye to or the past I got moulded with as a kid once upon a time.

Testing... 1-2...

Greetings to all precious friends, bloggers, readers, passerbys, web surfers, lovers, haters, criticals, cynicals, idles, busies, spammers, stalkers, ladies, gentlemen, goods and evils... anyone who are to happen to stop by this blog at some point of their very future exciting lives.

Here I am jumping in the bandwagoon and starting my very own blog on this fancy dark page as of 03.32 AM - June 13th 2008. Listening to Lush's Lovelife in an eternal satisfaction in the mean time. Especially at times like these when my insomnia relapses -which happens quite often to tell you the truth- my fast fingers shall be typing things through my loudmouth. Can't promise you non-stop fun but I am sure I can supply you some links in due course if you ask nicely.

As long as insomnia keeps me inspired along with the beauties of life such as music, landscapes, wine, films, art, love, ice cream, sea, peaceful darkness, dreams, ... more to come expectedly in a good shape and manner soon. May you come back again.

Welcome to my still waters, dear one and all!
